1) What do you eat for breakfast and lunch?
I rarely eat cereal. Ever since I was little, I preferred to eat leftovers. I do occasionally (two to three
times a month) eat pancakes. I also enjoy toast, eggs, and smoothies.
2) What is your exercise schedule?
Sunday: 60 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of yoga.
Monday: Weight training and/or strength training videos.
Tuesday: 60 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of yoga.
Wednesday: Day off.
Thursday: Weight training and/or strength training videos.
Friday: 60 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of yoga.
Saturday: Weight training and/or strength training videos.
3) Why use bentos for dieting?
Simple, they're great for portion control and they're fun! Who wouldn't want to eat an appealing meal with
a variety of colors and textures. That and it gives me an excuse to buy super cute lunch boxes!
4) Do you eat every meal out of a bento?
When I first started, yes. It really helped to control my portions. Now I eat most of my lunches in bentos,
because I enjoy making them and they provide pictures for my blog.
When I feel like I've been eating too much, I go back to eating every meal in a bento to get on track.
5) What do you do for exercise?
Walking, eliptical machine, videos, yoga, pilates, and weight training.
6) How did you overcome emotional/boredom eating?
7) What should I do if I want to try the "My Bento Diet?"
8) Do you eat junk food? Do you snack?
Yes and yes. I have good days and bad days, but I don't feel guilty about it. Moderation is the key; if
I want something I have it, but I make healthy choices more than unhealthy.
9) Why do eat so many olives and avocados?
Ana from Portugal said:
"well, around here we kinda know alot about olives, since we are
mediterranian, and, just my opinion, you eat waaaay too much olives, it's proven that 3 olives have the entire calories you
need to hold on an entire day... so, when eating I'd advise you to eat like... one... two at the tops...
other than that,
I love your site ^^"
First of all thank you for comments, I'm glad to hear you're enjoying my site. I know it seems a little odd
that I eat so many olives; I sometimes have them for breakfast (with eggs) and for supper as well. I thank you for being concerned
about me; I did post an entry about this subject on my blog, stating I'm trying to eat more monounsaturated fats. (Based on an article by Prevention Magazine*).
I am a little confused about your statement on the calorie content of olives; one calamata olive, for instance,
has only 10 calories, but 1g of monounsaturated fat. So, three olives or even ten olives can't be bad for me.
